Our story
SMW Refrigeration & Heating was founded in 1964 in Tempe, Arizona, originally serving commercial refrigeration for Valley restaurants, grocers, and food-service operations. As Phoenix boomed and homes began to depend on air conditioning as basic infrastructure, we expanded into residential HVAC — bringing the same commercial-grade diagnostic discipline to Arizona homeowners.
Six decades later we're still family-owned, still headquartered in Tempe, and still answering the phone with a live human 24/7. Our team includes NATE-certified comfort specialists, BPI Building Analysts for home performance audits, and EPA Section 608-certified refrigerant technicians.
